Semmelweiß was a fighter for Antisepsis. His advice in the 19. Century to all medical doctors:
“If you want to avoid childbedfeaver and other diseases and infections, caused in hospitals, you must wash your hands more intensively!“
Those remarks brought him the mockery of the entire medical world and eventually they put him in an insane asylum. Today antisepsis is FIRST AND FORMOST RULE in all hospitals. Thats how the world sometimes rewards its geniusses.
